| 13 | 13 | Sec. 23-a. This state or a political subdivision of this | |
| 14 | 14 | state may not adopt or enforce a law, ordinance, order, or other | |
| 15 | 15 | regulation requiring the registration of a firearm. | |
| 16 | 16 | SECTION 2. This proposed constitutional amendment shall be | |
| 17 | 17 | submitted to the voters at an election to be held November 7, 2017. | |
| 18 | 18 | The ballot shall be printed to permit voting for or against the | |
| 19 | 19 | proposition: "The constitutional amendment prohibiting this state | |
| 20 | 20 | or a political subdivision of this state from adopting or enforcing | |
| 21 | 21 | a law, ordinance, order, or other regulation requiring the | |
| 22 | 22 | registration of a firearm." |
