| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned six |

| 3 | 3 | | decades, Joan and Forrest Clair of Omaha, Texas, celebrated their |

| 4 | 4 | | 60th wedding anniversary on September 7, 2016; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Forrest Clair fell for the former Joan Davis as |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | soon as he saw her in the Dixie Made Cafe in Lone Star; the couple |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | soon began dating, and they exchanged the vows of matrimony on |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | September 7, 1956; over the course of their marriage, they have |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | found in each other a devoted life partner; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Clair count among their blessings a |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | fine family that includes their four children and numerous |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | grandchildren and great-grandchildren, with whom they treasure |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | spending many special occasions; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, For 60 years, Joan and Forrest Clair have brought |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | to their marriage laughter, kindness, and dedication, and it is a |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | therefore, be it |

| 18 | 18 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |

| 19 | 19 | | Legislature, hereby commemorate the 60th wedding anniversary of |

| 20 | 20 | | Joan and Forrest Clair and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
