| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, James and Sylvia Turrentine of Winnsboro |

| 3 | 3 | | celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on October 8, 2016, and |

| 4 | 4 | | they may indeed reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship |

| 5 | 5 | | they have shared; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, On that memorable day in 1966, James Turrentine |

| 7 | 7 | | and the former Sylvia Thomas exchanged the vows of matrimony at |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | First United Methodist Church, and over the course of their |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | marriage, they have found in each other a loving life partner; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Turrentine count among their |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | blessings a fine family that includes their children, Todd and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | his wife, Andrea, and Stan, as well as their grandchildren, Lexi |

| 13 | 13 | | and Skyler, with whom they treasure spending many special |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | occasions; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, For half a century, James and Sylvia Turrentine |

| 16 | 16 | | have brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, |

| 17 | 17 | | and it is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; |

| 19 | 19 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |

| 20 | 20 | | Legislature, hereby congratulate James and Sylvia Turrentine on |
