SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 105
WHEREAS, Jack and Gladys Hamilton of Troup celebrated
their 60th wedding anniversary on July 27, 2016, and they may
indeed reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have
shared; and
WHEREAS, On that memorable day in 1956, Jack Hamilton and
the former Gladys McDougal exchanged the vows of matrimony in
Troup, and over the course of their marriage, they have found in
each other a loving life partner; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton count among their blessings
a fine family that includes their children, as well as their
numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, with whom they
treasure spending many special occasions; and
WHEREAS, For six decades, Jack and Gladys Hamilton have
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and
it is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
Legislature, hereby congratulate Jack and Gladys Hamilton on
their 60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best
wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton as an expression of high regard from the
Texas Senate.
