| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, A 65th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of |

| 3 | 3 | | mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Doyle and JoAnna |

| 4 | 4 | | Nelson of Quitman celebrated this joyous milestone in their |

| 5 | 5 | | marriage on August 3, 2016; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, On that memorable day in 1951, Doyle D. Nelson and |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | the former JoAnna Harbuck were joined in matrimony at a ceremony |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | in Irving; through the years, they have been blessed with a fine |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | family that includes their children, Janet Zachary and her husband, |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Mike, Nancy Jackson and her husband, Tim, and Russell Nelson and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | his wife, Cindy, as well as their grandchildren, Matt, Anna, |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Elizabeth, Bettye, Adam, and Ben, and their great-grandsons, |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Ayden and Abel; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Valued residents of Quitman since 1971, Mr. Nelson |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | retired after being self-employed throughout his career, and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Mrs. Nelson served as district clerk of Wood County for 14 years |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | before her retirement; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Nelson have enjoyed six and a half |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | decades of abiding love and affection for each other, and they |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | are among an exceptional group of men and women who can claim such |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | a lasting commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Legislature, hereby congratulate Doyle and JoAnna Nelson on |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | their 65th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |

| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
