| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Isauro G. Farias on the grand occasion of his 87th |

| 4 | 4 | | birthday; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, This distinguished gentleman is well known for |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | his wisdom and generosity of spirit, and he is a beloved and |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | respected citizen of our state; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Farias is a member of a family that greatly |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | values military service, and he served the nation with |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | distinction for more than 20 years in the United States Army; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, After his retirement, he continued to serve the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | country by working with the United States Customs and Border |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Protection, the United States Immigration Service, and the |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | United States Marshals Service; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, He and his beloved wife, Catalina, have enjoyed 65 |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | years of marriage together, and they renewed their marriage vows |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | in 2011 in Cana of Galilee in Israel; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Farias is noted for his strength, his |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | compassion for others, and his enthusiasm for living each day to |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | the fullest; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Legislature, hereby recognize Isauro G. Farias as a treasured |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | citizen of our state and extend to him best wishes on his 87th |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | birthday; and, be it further |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | him as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate. |
