| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Johnny Anderson for his 31 years of exceptional service |

| 4 | 4 | | with Plains Cotton Growers, Incorporated, and for his many |

| 5 | 5 | | contributions to the Texas cotton industry; and |

| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The Texas High Plains region is one of the largest |

| 7 | 7 | | cotton-producing regions in the world, and the sale of cotton |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | brings more than $2.2 billion annually to the state's economy; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since 1956, Plains Cotton Growers, Incorporated, |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | has provided premier service and support to cotton producers in |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | the High Plains region on matters including research, market |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | development, and public policy at both the state and federal |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | levels; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Throughout his 31 years of service, Johnny |

| 15 | 15 | | Anderson has been a diligent advocate for Plains Cotton Growers, |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Incorporated, and for the many cotton producers and ginners the |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | corporation represents; his unprecedented efforts reflect his |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | tireless dedication to the Texas cotton industry and to the |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | farmers of the High Plains, and his presence at the organization |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Legislature, hereby commend Johnny Anderson on his exemplary |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | career representing the cotton farmers of the Texas High Plains |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | and extend to him best wishes in all his future endeavors; and, be |
