| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Martha |

| 6 | 6 | | Eaves Craig of Mount Pleasant, who passed away on |

| 7 | 7 | | November 16, 2016, at the age of 68; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The daughter of Coleman and Meryle Eaves, the |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | former Martha Eaves was born in Omaha, Texas, on January 4, 1948, |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | and grew up with the companionship of her brother, Steve; she was |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | joined in matrimony to Billy Craig, with whom she shared 53 |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | rewarding years, and the couple were blessed with three children, |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Stephanie Robertson and her husband, Teddy, Chet Craig and his |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | wife, Amy, and Chris Craig; Mrs. Craig eventually knew the joy of |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | welcoming into her treasured family five grandchildren, Brianna, |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Kayla, Heather, Christopher, and Cody, as well as several |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | great-grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, A valued member of the Mount Pleasant community, |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Martha Craig owned and operated Billy Craig Service Station and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Garage with her husband for many years; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Martha Craig enjoyed a life that was rich in the |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | intangibles that matter most, and she will forever hold a special |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | place in the hearts of those who held her dear; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the memory of Martha Eaves |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Craig and extend sincere condolences to the members of her family |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | and to her many friends; and, be it further |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |

| 29 | 29 | | her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this day, it do |
