11 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 235
22 WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and
33 promise, Jason Padilla of Troop 142 in Harlingen advanced through
44 the ranks of Tenderfoot, Second, First, Star, and Life classes
55 before recently attaining the rank of Eagle Scout; and
66 WHEREAS, In receiving the coveted Eagle Badge, this fine
77 young man has become one of the select few to achieve this
88 distinguished honor; and
99 WHEREAS, By conducting a service project that allowed him
1010 to exercise his leadership abilities, Jason has completed the
1111 requirements for becoming an Eagle Scout and has at the same time
1212 benefited his community; and
1313 WHEREAS, This personable young man has brought great honor
1414 to himself, his family, and his troop in joining the elite corps
1515 of Eagle Scouts; and
1616 WHEREAS, Jason is truly a shining example to his troop and
1717 to the young people of Texas; now, therefore, be it
1818 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
1919 Legislature, hereby commend Jason Padilla on earning the rank of
2020 Eagle Scout and congratulate him on his outstanding achievement;
2121 and, be it further
2222 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
2323 Eagle Scout Padilla as an expression of high regard from the
2424 Texas Senate.
