1	1	SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 237
2	2	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
3	3	citizens of Harlingen in congratulating Avery Vega of Boy Scout
4	4	Troop 142, who recently achieved the rank of Eagle Scout; and
5	5	WHEREAS, This outstanding young man has brought honor to
6	6	himself, his family, his troop, his community, and his state in
7	7	earning the coveted Eagle Badge; and
8	8	WHEREAS, Avery completed a service project that required
9	9	him to exercise his leadership abilities and at the same time
10	10	benefit his community; and
11	11	WHEREAS, Few are privileged to be named among the ranks of
12	12	the elite corps of Eagle Scouts; only five out of every 100 Boy
13	13	Scouts earn this distinguished honor; and
14	14	WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and
15	15	promise, Avery advanced from Tenderfoot, Second, First, Star,
16	16	and Life classes to Eagle Scout; he is truly an exemplary citizen
17	17	of the State of Texas; now, therefore, be it
18	18	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
19	19	Legislature, hereby congratulate Avery Vega on attaining the
20	20	rank of Eagle Scout and commend him on this great achievement;
21	21	and, be it further
22	22	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
23	23	Eagle Scout Vega as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
