| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Dr. Farron C. Hunt of Port Arthur, who served as |

| 4 | 4 | | Physician of the Day at the Capitol on February 6, 2017; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, During every session of the Texas Legislature, a |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | volunteer member from the Texas Academy of Family Physicians is |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | scheduled to be on-call each day that the legislature is in |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | session, and Dr. Hunt took valuable time away from her practice |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | to fill this position; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Hunt is a graduate of The University of Texas |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Medical Branch at Galveston; she currently practices with Doctor |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | on Demand and with the Made W.H.O.L.E. Family Clinic, P.A., where |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | she is president and chief executive officer; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Over the course of her career in medicine, Dr. Hunt |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | has been in high demand as a speaker, a contributing author, |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | and a medical correspondent; she was named the Physician |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Member of the Month, March 2016, by the Texas Academy of |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Family Physicians, and she represented the academy at its 2014 |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Annual Leadership Forum; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, An exemplary physician and community leader, |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Dr. Hunt is truly deserving of special recognition for her |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | commitment to excellence in her profession and to service to others; |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Legislature, hereby commend Dr. Farron C. Hunt on her many |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | contributions to her community and to the field of medicine and |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | extend appreciation to her for her exemplary service as Physician |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | of the Day at the Capitol; and, be it further |
