SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 312
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
join the citizens of Victoria County and Calhoun County in
celebrating Golden Crescent Day at the State Capitol on March 8,
2017; and
WHEREAS, Citizens of the City of Port Lavaca, Calhoun
County, the City of Victoria, and Victoria County work together
to strengthen and expand the opportunities and partnerships that
help the region to thrive; the coastal area boasts a diverse
economy and picturesque parks and green spaces and has much to
offer visitors and residents alike; and
WHEREAS, The Golden Crescent is a true gem of Texas and an
outstanding place in which to live, work, and raise a family;
residents can indeed look forward to a bright and prosperous
future while preserving the area's rich and colorful past; and
WHEREAS, Residents of the City of Port Lavaca and Calhoun
County are proud to partner with the Victoria Chamber of Commerce
to celebrate this special day; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
Legislature, hereby commend citizens throughout the Golden
Crescent region for their many contributions to the growth and
progress of our state and extend to them best wishes in all
their endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared as a
memento of this special day.
