| 4 | 4 | | celebrating Golden Crescent Day at the State Capitol on March 8, |

| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Citizens of the City of Port Lavaca, Calhoun |

| 7 | 7 | | County, the City of Victoria, and Victoria County work together |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | to strengthen and expand the opportunities and partnerships that |

| 9 | 9 | | help the region to thrive; the coastal area boasts a diverse |

| 10 | 10 | | economy and picturesque parks and green spaces and has much to |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | offer visitors and residents alike; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, The Golden Crescent is a true gem of Texas and an |

| 13 | 13 | | outstanding place in which to live, work, and raise a family; |

| 14 | 14 | | residents can indeed look forward to a bright and prosperous |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | future while preserving the area's rich and colorful past; and |

| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Residents of the City of Port Lavaca and Calhoun |

| 17 | 17 | | County are proud to partner with the Victoria Chamber of Commerce |

| 18 | 18 | | to celebrate this special day; now, therefore, be it |

| 19 | 19 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |

| 20 | 20 | | Legislature, hereby commend citizens throughout the Golden |

| 21 | 21 | | Crescent region for their many contributions to the growth and |

| 22 | 22 | | progress of our state and extend to them best wishes in all |
