1	1	SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 314
2	2	WHEREAS, Members of the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists
3	3	are gathering in Austin on February 28, 2017, to commemorate
4	4	Texas Anesthesiologists Day at the State Capitol; and
5	5	WHEREAS, A component of the American Society of
6	6	Anesthesiologists, the Texas organization was founded in 1936;
7	7	it works to promote and support the medical specialty of
8	8	anesthesiology, and its 3,300 members across the state benefit
9	9	greatly from its continuing education programs and annual
10	10	meetings; and
11	11	WHEREAS, Through a network of committees, the society
12	12	allows members to participate in and make recommendations on
13	13	numerous issues that are relevant to the profession, including
14	14	scientific, administrative, and educational concerns; and
15	15	WHEREAS, Always emphasizing patient safety and care, the
16	16	Texas Society of Anesthesiologists makes invaluable contributions
17	17	to the health and well-being of Texans, and it indeed merits
18	18	special recognition and praise; now, therefore, be it
19	19	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
20	20	Legislature, hereby recognize February 28, 2017, as Texas
21	21	Anesthesiologists Day at the State Capitol and commend the men
22	22	and women of the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists for their
23	23	important work; and, be it further
24	24	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
25	25	the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists as an expression of high
26	26	regard from the Texas Senate.
