| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Nick Schreiber, who has been named the Texas Big |

| 4 | 4 | | Brother of the Year; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Nick Schreiber is a mentor with Big Brothers Big |

| 6 | 6 | | Sisters of Wichita Falls; he was chosen for this prestigious |

| 7 | 7 | | honor from among 5,500 mentors across the state; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, For more than two years, Mr. Schreiber and his |

| 9 | 9 | | "little brother," Gavin Thompson, have shared a wide range of |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | experiences together; they have attended movies, taken museum |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | trips, and made visits to the Schreiber Brothers Dairy in |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Windthorst; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Schreiber also serves as chairman of the |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Wichita Falls; in addition, |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | he is dedicated to his career as director of marketing for SLA |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Architects; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Nick Schreiber is having a positive impact on |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | young people in Texas through his work with Big Brothers Big |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Sisters, and it is truly fitting that he receive special |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | recognition for his outstanding leadership; now, therefore, be it |

| 21 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |

| 22 | 22 | | Legislature, hereby commend Nick Schreiber on his commitment to |

| 23 | 23 | | serving others and extend congratulations to him on being named |

| 24 | 24 | | the Texas Big Brother of the Year; and, be it further |
