55 WHEREAS, Family and friends will forever treasure their
66 memories of Ted E. Hall of Jacksonville, who passed away on
77 July 3, 2016, at the age of 71; and
88 WHEREAS, Born on July 2, 1945, in San Mateo, California, to
99 Eugene and Jessie Hall, Ted Hall grew up with two brothers, Roger
1010 and Alan, and three sisters, Susan, Barbara, and Deborah; he
1111 shared a loving relationship with his wife, Debbie, and they were
1212 the proud parents of two children, Chase and Tammie; later in
1313 life, he became the beloved "Paw Paw" of nine grandchildren and
1414 two great-grandchildren; and
1515 WHEREAS, Answering his nation's call to duty, Mr. Hall
1616 joined the United States Army and went on to serve for more than
1717 two decades, attaining the rank of master sergeant; after
1818 retiring from the military, he served his community as a law
1919 enforcement officer in Troup for 15 years; and
2020 WHEREAS, A devoted family man, a proud veteran, and a
2121 dedicated public servant, Ted Hall leaves behind a legacy that
2222 will continue to inspire all those who had the good fortune to
2323 know him; now, therefore, be it
2424 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
2525 Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the life of Ted E. Hall and
2626 extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his
2727 wife, Debbie Hall; to his son, Chase Hall, and his wife, Johnna; to
2828 his daughter, Tammie Gay, and her husband, Bruce; to his brothers,
2929 Roger Hall and his wife, Vivian, and Alan Hall and his wife, Lou; to
3030 his sisters, Barbara Milton and her husband, Joe, and Deborah
3131 Lefebvre and her husband, Jack; to his grandchildren, Alden and
3232 Emily Gay, Shawn and Casey Hall, Nicholas and Shane Blanton, and
3333 Tiffany, Shelby, and Clay Partin; to his great-grandchildren,
3434 Colton Shane McAnally and Emmy Cole Whitaker; and to his other
3535 relatives and friends; and, be it further
3636 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
3737 his family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this day, it do
3838 so in memory of Ted E. Hall.
