                            SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 358
 In Memory
 of
 Sue Sharp
 WHEREAS, Residents of Pittsburg lost a dedicated public
 servant and community leader with the passing of Sue Sharp on
 August 31, 2016, at the age of 76; and
 WHEREAS, A native of Winnsboro, the former Sue Willard was
 born on July 16, 1940, to John Henry and Katie Lou Dickson
 Willard, and she grew up in the company of three siblings; she
 began her work with the City of Pittsburg in 1974 and served as
 city secretary for a number of years; after retiring from that
 post in 2003, she remained civically engaged as a member of the
 Pittsburg City Council from 2004 to 2015; throughout her career,
 she earned the respect and admiration of her colleagues for her
 sage advice and for the passion she brought to serving her fellow
 citizens; and
 WHEREAS, Deeply devoted to her family, Mrs. Sharp shared a
 rewarding marriage with her husband, Joe; the couple were the
 proud parents of a son, David, and over the years, they delighted
 in seeing their family grow to include a granddaughter, Jacey,
 and a great-granddaughter, Heidi; Mrs. Sharp was also a valued
 congregant of the First Presbyterian Church of Pittsburg; and
 WHEREAS, Sue Sharp was a significant asset to the community
 she loved, and she will be deeply missed by all those who were
 privileged enough to share in the richness of her life; now,
 therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
 Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the memory of Sue Sharp and
 extend heartfelt sympathy to her family and friends; and, be
 it further
 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
 her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this day, it do
 so in memory of Sue Sharp.
