SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 409 In Memory of Weston Gray Frost WHEREAS, Memories of a life filled with joyful times and meaningful accomplishments remain to comfort the family and friends of Weston Gray Frost, who passed away on February 22, 2017, at the age of 55; and WHEREAS, A native Texan, Gray Frost was born in El Paso on June 19, 1961, to Retha Jean Wilcoxson and Young Jack Frost, and he graduated from Deming High School in 1979; he subsequently served for four years in the United States Air Force, where he earned the rank of staff sergeant; and WHEREAS, Mr. Frost enjoyed a notable 30-year career at Siemens Energy in Orlando, Florida, and during that time he was granted a United States patent for an invention that facilitated more efficient power generation; and WHEREAS, In his leisure time, this avid outdoorsman enjoyed hiking, wind sailing, and cross-country and mountain motorcycling; dedicated to his faith, he was a valued member of First Redeemer Church, and he gave back to his community by volunteering with a foundation building computers for the underprivileged; and WHEREAS, Although he will be deeply missed, Gray Frost's kindness, optimism, and strength of character will continue to inspire all those who were privileged to share in the richness of his life; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the memory of Weston Gray Frost and extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of his family: to his mother, Retha Wilcoxson; to his siblings, Jacque Frost-Marvit, Crystal Frost-Pedregon and her husband, Eddie, Carrie Wilcoxson, and Glen Wilcoxson; and to his many other relatives and friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an copy of this Resolution be prepared for his family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Gray Frost.
