| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Pam Bennett Young, who is retiring as the artistic |

| 4 | 4 | | director of the Brenham Children's Chorus after 15 years of |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | outstanding leadership and service to the Brenham community; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Pam Young founded the Brenham Children's Chorus in |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | 2002; since that time, the nonprofit, community-based program |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | has brought a wealth of opportunities to countless children who |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | have the desire to learn more about music and to share their |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | talents with audiences across the nation; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Pam has taught music at public schools for more |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | than 30 years, and she currently teaches music at Kruse |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Elementary School; she is a trained vocalist who has performed in |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | several musicals at Brenham's Unity Theatre; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, A beloved member of the community, Pam has created |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | a music arts program that will continue to captivate audiences |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | long into the future, and her presence as artistic director of |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | the chorus will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Legislature, hereby commend Pam Bennett Young for her |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | exceptional leadership as director of the Brenham Children's |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Chorus and extend to her best wishes in all her future endeavors; |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | and, be it further |

| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
