| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, Nikita Fridia was sworn in as justice of the peace |

| 3 | 3 | | for Morris County Precinct 1 on February 1, 2017; and |

| 4 | 4 | | WHEREAS, A native of Cason, Nikita Fridia graduated from |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | Daingerfield High School before joining the United States Navy in |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | 1994; she was among the first group of women to be stationed |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | aboard an aircraft carrier when she joined the crew of the USS |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Dwight D. Eisenhower; over the course of her navy tenure, she |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | worked in flight operations and communications, and her assignments |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | took her to Dubai, the Bahamas, Turkey, and Israel; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Following the conclusion of her military service |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | in 1997, Nikita Fridia established a career as a licensed |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | vocational nurse in Pittsburg; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, In taking on her duties as justice of the peace, |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Nikita Fridia is performing a vital service for the citizens of |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Morris County, and the dedication she has demonstrated in her |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | previous endeavors is sure to prove equally valuable in this |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | important new role; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Legislature, hereby congratulate Nikita Fridia on her appointment |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | as justice of the peace for Morris County Precinct 1 and extend to |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | her sincere best wishes for success; and, be it further |

| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
