| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, When they married many years ago, Eunice and |

| 3 | 3 | | Nicholas Peet placed great faith and trust in one another, and |

| 4 | 4 | | they have been amply rewarded, as they are celebrating their 75th |

| 5 | 5 | | wedding anniversary; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Eunice Ruth Webber and Nicholas Peter Peet |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | married on March 28, 1942, in Baytown; the world has changed |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | considerably during the years of their marriage, yet they have |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | continued to cherish traditional family values; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Peet is a native of Houston and a graduate of |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Rice University; he worked for many years as a chemical engineer |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | with the Humble Oil and Refining Company; Mrs. Peet, after |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | raising her children, earned a degree from the University of |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Houston and served as a teacher with the Fort Bend Independent |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | School District; after they both retired, they moved to Conroe in |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | 1982; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Peet were blessed with two daughters |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | and three sons, and they raised them in the Baptist faith; they |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | are devout members of First Baptist Church in Conroe, and their |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | long and happy union is truly an inspiration to us all; now, |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | therefore, be it |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Legislature, hereby extend best wishes to Eunice and Nicholas |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Peet on the grand occasion of their 75th wedding anniversary; |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | and, be it further |

| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
