| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | commemorates the life of Ricco Diaman Delgado, who died February |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | 25, 2017, at the age of 32; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Ricco Delgado was a proud Texas citizen who was |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | respected and admired in his community for his many |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | achievements; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, He was a lifelong resident of McAllen and a 2003 |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | graduate of James "Nikki" Rowe High School; he earned a degree |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | from Saint Edward's University, and he graduated magna cum laude |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | with a law degree from Texas Southern University; he went on to |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | practice law as an assistant criminal district attorney for |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Hidalgo County; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, He was an avid and skilled outdoorsman who took |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | great pleasure in teaching his son, Nathan, the principles and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | joy of ethical hunting and fishing; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, A man of compassion, intelligence, and wisdom, he |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | gave generously to others, and his natural leadership, his |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | charismatic personality, and his enthusiasm for living each day |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | to the fullest will not be forgotten by those who were privileged |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | to share in his life; and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, He was a devoted son, brother, and father, and he |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by his |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | family and many friends; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | family of Ricco Diaman Delgado; and, be it further |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in |
