SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 479
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Fred P. Nardini, who is retiring from his position as
San Patricio County commissioner after five terms of distinguished
leadership and service to the state; and
WHEREAS, Fred Nardini was born in Germany, and he graduated
from high school in South Dakota; he has shared 54 years of
marriage with Judy Nardini, and they have been blessed with three
children and four grandchildren; after a 19-year career with
H-E-B Grocery Stores, Mr. Nardini, along with his wife, owned and
operated several successful businesses for 21 years; and
WHEREAS, Commissioner Nardini is a dedicated community
leader in the Coastal Bend region; he is the chairman of the
Regional Review Committee for the Texas Council of Governments,
and he serves on numerous local planning and development boards;
he was also the representative for San Patricio County on the
Texas Conference of Urban Counties Aggregation Project; and
WHEREAS, Commissioner Nardini is currently a member of the
Education Committee of the County Judges and Commissioners
Association of Texas and the vice president of Finance for the
Texas Conference of Urban Counties; he represents the highest
ideals of civic service and his valuable leadership as a county
commissioner will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
Legislature, hereby commend San Patricio County Commissioner
Fred P. Nardini for his years of exceptional service to his
community and to the state and extend to him best wishes in all
his future endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
