| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Fred P. Nardini, who is retiring from his position as |
|---|
| 4 | 4 | | San Patricio County commissioner after five terms of distinguished |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | leadership and service to the state; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Fred Nardini was born in Germany, and he graduated |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | from high school in South Dakota; he has shared 54 years of |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | marriage with Judy Nardini, and they have been blessed with three |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | children and four grandchildren; after a 19-year career with |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | H-E-B Grocery Stores, Mr. Nardini, along with his wife, owned and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | operated several successful businesses for 21 years; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Commissioner Nardini is a dedicated community |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | leader in the Coastal Bend region; he is the chairman of the |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Regional Review Committee for the Texas Council of Governments, |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | and he serves on numerous local planning and development boards; |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | he was also the representative for San Patricio County on the |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Texas Conference of Urban Counties Aggregation Project; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Commissioner Nardini is currently a member of the |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Education Committee of the County Judges and Commissioners |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Association of Texas and the vice president of Finance for the |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Texas Conference of Urban Counties; he represents the highest |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | ideals of civic service and his valuable leadership as a county |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | commissioner will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Legislature, hereby commend San Patricio County Commissioner |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Fred P. Nardini for his years of exceptional service to his |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | community and to the state and extend to him best wishes in all |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | his future endeavors; and, be it further |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. |
