| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Established in 1937, Fayette Electric Cooperative |

| 6 | 6 | | provides affordable and reliable electricity to more than 9,000 |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | member-owners; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The cooperative maintains 2,871 miles of electric |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | line and serves individual residences, farms, ranches, and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | businesses in Austin, Bastrop, Colorado, Fayette, Lavaca, Lee, |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | and Washington Counties; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, For eight decades, Fayette Electric Cooperative |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | has fulfilled its mission to provide dependable electric power to |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | its member-owners and has supported communities with beneficial |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | programs and outstanding service; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Legislature, hereby commend the members, administrators, and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | staff of Fayette Electric Cooperative, Incorporated, on 80 years |

| 19 | 19 | | of success and extend to them best wishes for the future; and, be |
