| 4 | 4 | | Anniversary of Bremond Polish Festival Days, Polskí Dzíen, which |

| 5 | 5 | | is taking place June 23 and 24, 2017; and |

| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Bremond is known as the Polish Capital of Texas, |

| 7 | 7 | | and this exemplary yearly celebration provides an opportunity |

| 8 | 8 | | for Texans of Polish descent to celebrate their heritage; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Sponsored by the Bremond Chamber of Commerce and a |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | host of local businesses, this year's popular festival will |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | feature a wide range of activities, including a beauty pageant, a |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | barbecue cook-off, the 5K Polish Pickle Run, and a Main Street |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Parade; live musical entertainment will feature Brave Combo, the |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Gordon Collier Band, and Wade Bowen; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, For 30 years, this event has provided exceptional |

| 16 | 16 | | entertainment for the entire family, and it is truly fitting that |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | it receive special recognition; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |

| 19 | 19 | | Legislature, hereby commend the sponsors, organizers, and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | volunteers of the 30th Anniversary Polish Festival Days, Polskí |

| 21 | 21 | | Dzíen, on their commitment to celebrating the area's rich Polish |

| 22 | 22 | | heritage and extend to all best wishes for a thoroughly enjoyable |
