| 3 | 3 | | recognize the Burleson Young Executives Alliance Class of 2017; and |

| 4 | 4 | | WHEREAS, The Burleson Young Executives Alliance was |

| 5 | 5 | | established in 2015 by the Burleson Area Chamber of Commerce to |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | create opportunities for young executives to network with other |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | professionals, connect with community leaders, and develop their |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | leadership skills; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Now in its third year, the eight-month program for |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | 2017 runs from March through November; class members meet for |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | monthly half-day sessions to network and collaborate with local |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | leaders, to gain a better understanding of the City of Burleson |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | and how it is governed, and to learn how to give back to their |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | community through collaborative efforts; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, The members of the 2017 class are Karen Dawkins, |

| 16 | 16 | | Mark Dean, Jess Hamilton, David Hill, Justin Hitchcock, Todd |

| 17 | 17 | | Hulsey, Amy Lee, Jessica Mack, Cannon Madison, James McCroskey, |

| 18 | 18 | | Tanner McGaughey, Preston McReynolds, Amy Myers, Luke |

| 19 | 19 | | Reichenstein, Kenneth Rose, DeeDee Slack, Brooks Trisler, Katelyn |

| 21 | 21 | | president of the Burleson Area Chamber of Commerce; and |

| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, These exemplary citizens serve as leaders in their |

| 23 | 23 | | organizations, and they are committed to personal growth, career |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | advancement, and helping to make their community a rewarding place |

| 25 | 25 | | in which to live and work; now, therefore, be it |

| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |

| 27 | 27 | | Legislature, hereby commend the members of the Burleson Young |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Executives Alliance Class of 2017 for helping to build a brighter |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | and more prosperous future for the Burleson community and extend |

| 30 | 30 | | to them best wishes in all their endeavors; and, be it further |
