| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize the Borden County Coyotes six-man football team, which |

| 4 | 4 | | won the 2016 University Interscholastic League Class 1A Division |

|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, This year's team captured the school's fourth |

| 7 | 7 | | state championship in six-man football in a game played at the |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | AT&T Stadium in Arlington on December 14, 2016; and |

| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, These young student-athletes have demonstrated |

| 10 | 10 | | great talent and perseverance over the course of the season, and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | they can take great pride in their superior performance; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Under the outstanding leadership of head coach |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Trey Richey and his staff, the Coyotes have developed exceptional |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | teamwork and discipline; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, The citizens of Borden County are proud of the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Coyotes for their hard work, their impressive skills, and their |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | fine sportsmanship; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |

| 19 | 19 | | Legislature, hereby commend the Borden County Coyotes six-man |

| 20 | 20 | | football team on its outstanding season and extend |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | congratulations to team members on winning the 2016 Class 1A |
