| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Craig Curry, the senior pastor of First |

| 3 | 3 | | Baptist Church of Plano, is serving as Pastor of the Day for the |

| 4 | 4 | | Texas Senate on May 4, 2017; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Pastor Curry earned a bachelor's degree in |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | behavioral science from Hardin-Simmons University, and he went |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | on to receive a master of divinity degree from Logsdon Seminary |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | and a doctor of ministry degree from George W. Truett Theological |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Seminary; he was licensed to the ministry in 1999 and ordained in |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | 2006; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, This respected clergyman began his career |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | preaching at revivals, camps, and weekend events; over the years, |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | he has served as a senior pastor at the First Baptist Churches in |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Cisco and Dripping Springs; he has ably led the congregation at |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | First Baptist Church of Plano since May 2016; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Pastor Curry enjoys the love |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | and support of his wife, Fallon, and their two children, Lylah |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | and Shepherd; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Craig Curry has inspired countless people |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | with his message of faith and goodwill, and it is a pleasure to |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | welcome him to this chamber; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |

| 23 | 23 | | Legislature, hereby honor Dr. Craig Curry for his service as |

| 24 | 24 | | Pastor of the Day and extend to him sincere best wishes for the |
