SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 755
WHEREAS, A 60th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of
mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Tom and Pat Bingham
of Quitman celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on
April 27, 2017; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Bingham were joined in matrimony on
that memorable day in 1957 in Tyler; over the years, they have
been blessed with a treasured family that includes their
children, Dirk Bingham and his wife, Marcy, and Lisa Brockelman,
as well as their grandchildren, Trevor and Lexie Fuller and Jarod
and Jacob Bingham; and
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, the couple
are both alumni of Kilgore High School; Mr. Bingham continued his
education at Kilgore College, graduating with the Class of 1955,
and he went on to work at Shell Oil Company; Mrs. Bingham retired
from a rewarding career with the Quitman Independent School
District; and
WHEREAS, This devoted husband and wife have enjoyed six
decades of abiding love and affection for each other, and they
are among an exceptional group of people who can claim such a
lasting commitment; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
Legislature, hereby congratulate Tom and Pat Bingham on their
60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
couple as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
