| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | citizens of Graham in mourning the loss of Harrison Brown, who |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | died May 1, 2017; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Harrison Brown was an exemplary young man whose |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | many achievements and great potential were an inspiration to all |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | those who were privileged to share in his life; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Harrison was a 2016 graduate of Graham High |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | School, where he ran cross country, participated in one-act |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | play, and played trumpet in the Rompin' Stompin' Big Blue Band; |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | he was voted by his fellow students as class favorite, and the |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | school's faculty named him Mr. GHS, the school's most |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | outstanding student; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, He was a source of pride and joy for his parents, |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Kurt and Lori Brown, and a source of strength and comfort for his |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | brother, John; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, The death of one so young is a great tragedy, for |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | in the faces of the young we see the hope and promise of our |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | future; Harrison's unique spirit, and the joy he brought to |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | others, will continue to live well beyond his life; and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, A devoted son and loving brother, he gave |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | unselfishly to others, and his generous spirit, his boundless |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | energy, and his enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | will not be forgotten by his family and countless friends; now, |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | therefore, be it |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | family of Harrison Brown; and, be it further |

| 32 | 32 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas |

| 34 | 34 | | Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in |
