SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 779
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize the management, staff, and residents of Élan Southpark
Meadows on the occasion of Older Americans Month, which is being
celebrated in May of 2017; and
WHEREAS, Older Americans have made countless contributions
to the fabric of life in our society; they have blazed trails and
pioneered ideas that have been instrumental in the success of our
state and nation; and
WHEREAS, Élan Southpark Meadows is a welcoming and
supportive community that encourages residents to live life
abundantly, vibrantly, and visibly and to have the confidence to
"Age Out Loud"; and
WHEREAS, Élan Southpark Meadows is also committed to
raising awareness of the issues facing older Americans and
helping them thrive in communities of their choice; the Élan
community provides numerous opportunities for older adults to
enrich their lives, including a wide range of activities that
promote wellness and social involvement; and
WHEREAS, The professionals of Élan Southpark Meadows
recognize the importance of older adults' inclusion in the wider
community and know that when the wisdom, experience, and active
involvement of older citizens can be shared with society, everyone
benefits; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
Legislature, hereby commend the Élan Southpark Meadows community
on its commitment to helping its residents live each day to the
fullest and extend best wishes for a memorable Older Americans
Month; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the É
lan community as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
