| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize the management, staff, and residents of Élan Southpark |

| 4 | 4 | | Meadows on the occasion of Older Americans Month, which is being |

| 5 | 5 | | celebrated in May of 2017; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Older Americans have made countless contributions |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | to the fabric of life in our society; they have blazed trails and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | pioneered ideas that have been instrumental in the success of our |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | state and nation; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Élan Southpark Meadows is a welcoming and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | supportive community that encourages residents to live life |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | abundantly, vibrantly, and visibly and to have the confidence to |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | "Age Out Loud"; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Élan Southpark Meadows is also committed to |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | raising awareness of the issues facing older Americans and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | helping them thrive in communities of their choice; the Élan |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | community provides numerous opportunities for older adults to |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | enrich their lives, including a wide range of activities that |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | promote wellness and social involvement; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, The professionals of Élan Southpark Meadows |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | recognize the importance of older adults' inclusion in the wider |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | community and know that when the wisdom, experience, and active |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | involvement of older citizens can be shared with society, everyone |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | benefits; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Legislature, hereby commend the Élan Southpark Meadows community |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | on its commitment to helping its residents live each day to the |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | fullest and extend best wishes for a memorable Older Americans |
