SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 787 In Memory of Rebecca Molina WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and commemorates the life of Rebecca Molina, who died April 8, 2017, at the age of 73; and WHEREAS, Rebecca Molina was an exemplary citizen who was widely respected and admired in the Edinburg community for her many achievements; and WHEREAS, A graduate of The University of Texas--Pan American, Mrs. Molina was a longtime educator and curriculum assistant with the Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District; and WHEREAS, She and her beloved husband, Reynaldo Molina Sr., raised five children together, Lillian, Manuel, Reynaldo Jr., Victoria, and Richard; they were blessed with 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; and WHEREAS, A woman of courage, grace, and compassion, she gave unselfishly to others, and her strength, her wisdom, and her generous spirit will not be forgotten by those who were privileged to share in her life; and WHEREAS, Rebecca Molina was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and she leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by her family and many friends; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved family of Rebecca Molina; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Rebecca Molina.
