| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Rena Hemphill Bennett, who is retiring from the Office |

| 4 | 4 | | of the Comptroller of Public Accounts on January 31, 2017, after |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | a 32-year successful career; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Rena Bennett began her career in the property tax |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | appraisal field by working at the Anderson County and Henderson |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | County Appraisal Districts; in 1995, she joined the comptroller's |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | office as a contract appraiser, and she was hired as a full-time, |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | permanent employee in January of 1999; she is retiring from the |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Property Tax Assistance Division after 22 years of outstanding |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | service; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Throughout her career, Rena has handled her many |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | responsibilities with exceptional efficiency and dedication; she |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | has been noted for her superior organizational skills and her |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | professional expertise; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, An exemplary employee, Rena Bennett is respected |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | and admired by her colleagues, and her presence at the Office of |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | the Comptroller of Public Accounts will be greatly missed; now, |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | therefore, be it |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Legislature, hereby commend Rena Hemphill Bennett on her many |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | contributions to the state and extend to her best wishes in all |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | her future endeavors; and, be it further |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her |
