11 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 812
22 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
33 recognize Officer Chase Miller of the Granbury Police Department for
44 his heroic action in saving the life of a three-year-old boy; and
55 WHEREAS, While on patrol on the evening of October 12,
66 2016, Officer Miller received a call about a young boy at a local
77 restaurant who had stopped breathing; he arrived at the scene
88 before paramedics and immediately began administering
99 cardiopulmonary resuscitation to the child; and
1010 WHEREAS, After approximately two minutes of work by
1111 Officer Miller and the boy's father, the boy began to breathe
1212 again; he was later taken to a hospital, where he recovered fully
1313 from the ordeal; and
1414 WHEREAS, A four-year veteran of the Granbury Police
1515 Department, Officer Miller demonstrated quick thinking and
1616 decisive action in saving the life of this young Texan, and it is
1717 truly fitting that he receive special recognition for his heroic
1818 actions; now, therefore, be it
1919 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
2020 Legislature, hereby commend Officer Chase Miller on his
2121 outstanding work in saving the life of a young boy and extend to
2222 him best wishes for continued success in all his endeavors; and,
2323 be it further
2424 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
2525 him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
