| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Officer Chase Miller of the Granbury Police Department for |
|---|
| 4 | 4 | | his heroic action in saving the life of a three-year-old boy; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, While on patrol on the evening of October 12, |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | 2016, Officer Miller received a call about a young boy at a local |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | restaurant who had stopped breathing; he arrived at the scene |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | before paramedics and immediately began administering |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | cardiopulmonary resuscitation to the child; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, After approximately two minutes of work by |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Officer Miller and the boy's father, the boy began to breathe |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | again; he was later taken to a hospital, where he recovered fully |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | from the ordeal; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, A four-year veteran of the Granbury Police |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Department, Officer Miller demonstrated quick thinking and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | decisive action in saving the life of this young Texan, and it is |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | truly fitting that he receive special recognition for his heroic |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | actions; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Legislature, hereby commend Officer Chase Miller on his |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | outstanding work in saving the life of a young boy and extend to |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | him best wishes for continued success in all his endeavors; and, |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | be it further |

| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
