SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 855
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Julia J. Weng, who is retiring from the Office of the
Comptroller of Public Accounts on August 31, 2017, after an
exemplary career in state service; and
WHEREAS, Julia Weng began her state career in May of 1992,
and she has accumulated 19 years of state accounting experience
working with several agencies in a variety of accounting roles; and
WHEREAS, She has dedicated 15 years of her career with the
state to working in general ledger and financial reporting, and
for eight of those years, she worked with the comptroller's
office on preparing the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report
for the State of Texas; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her career, she has been noted for her
superior organizational skills and professional expertise, and she
has handled her far-reaching responsibilities with exceptional
skill and dedication; and
WHEREAS, Julia Weng is a distinguished employee who is
beloved and respected by colleagues, and her presence at the
Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts will be greatly
missed; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
Legislature, hereby commend Julia J. Weng on her exceptional
career and her many contributions to the state and extend to her
congratulations on her retirement and best wishes for continued
success in all her future endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
