5	5	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
6	6	commemorates the life of Natalie Cowen Gonzalez, who died
7	7	April 15, 2017, at the age of 43; and
8	8	WHEREAS, Natalie Gonzalez was born June 29, 1973, in
9	9	Denton; she graduated from Pace High School in Brownsville in
10	10	1991 and from The University of Texas at Austin School of
11	11	Journalism in 1997; and
12	12	WHEREAS, Her professional life included stints in
13	13	advertising and marketing, public relations, and corporate
14	14	talent recruiting; she received frequent recognition for her
15	15	work, and she was honored to be elected chair of the Houston
16	16	Chapter of the American Advertising Federation; and
17	17	WHEREAS, A devout Christian who practiced her faith in her
18	18	daily life, she served as director of an Early Childhood ministry
19	19	and worked as a Christian life coach; she was an avid traveler
20	20	whose journeys included a mission trip to Uganda; and
21	21	WHEREAS, She and her beloved husband, Ignacio Gonzalez,
22	22	were blessed with two daughters, Mia and Ava; she took great
23	23	pride in her family's talents and artistic endeavors; and
24	24	WHEREAS, A woman of courage, grace, and compassion, she
25	25	gave unselfishly to others, and her strong principles, her
26	26	generous spirit, and her enthusiasm for living each day to the
27	27	fullest will not be forgotten; and
28	28	WHEREAS, She was a devoted daughter, wife, and mother, and
29	29	she leaves behind memories that will be cherished forever by her
30	30	family and many friends; now, therefore, be it
31	31	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
32	32	Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
33	33	family of Natalie Cowen Gonzalez; and, be it further
34	34	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
35	35	her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
36	36	Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
37	37	memory of Natalie Cowen Gonzalez.
