                    SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 898
 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
 recognize Robert Hollas, who was recently honored as the Texas
 Child Protective Services Caseworker of the Year for Region 6; and
 WHEREAS, Robert Hollas has been a caseworker for Child
 Protective Services in Milam County for more than 24 years; he is
 highly respected by his colleagues, and he is admired by many for
 his unwavering dedication to the children of his community; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Hollas excels as an investigator and as an
 interviewer; he has received training on effective interviewing
 techniques, and his intuition and attention to detail help him
 gain insight into situations that are often not what they seem on
 initial impression; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Hollas is known for his expertise both in the
 field and in the courtroom; judges note his professionalism in
 matters relating to the court, and juries are grateful for his
 thoughtful and in-depth courtroom testimony; and
 WHEREAS, A respected member of the community, Mr. Hollas has
 diligently worked to ensure the safety and security of young
 citizens; he has made a difference in the lives of countless
 children, and he can indeed take pride in his many accomplishments;
 now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
 Legislature, hereby commend Robert Hollas for his exemplary work
 on behalf of the vulnerable children of Milam County and
 congratulate him on being named the Region 6 Child Protective
 Services Caseworker of the Year; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
 him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
