| 8 | 8 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 9 | 9 | SECTION 1. Chapter 322, Government Code, is amended by | |
| 10 | 10 | adding Section 322.002 to read as follows: | |
| 11 | 11 | Sec. 322.002. SUNSET PROVISION. The Legislative Budget | |
| 12 | 12 | Board is subject to Chapter 325 (Texas Sunset Act). Unless | |
| 13 | 13 | continued in existence as provided by that chapter, the board is | |
| 14 | 14 | abolished September 1, 2019. | |
| 15 | 15 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
| 16 | 16 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
| 17 | 17 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
| 18 | 18 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
| 19 | 19 | Act takes effect on the 91st day after the last day of the | |
| 20 | 20 | legislative session. |
