45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Megan Wilson has been named valedictorian of the
67 Class of 2017 at Tascosa High School, and she indeed merits special
78 recognition for receiving this significant honor; and
89 WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only
910 intellect and aptitude but also four years of dedication to the
1011 highest academic standards; in securing her place as the
1112 top-ranking student in her class, Ms. Wilson demonstrated a
1213 thorough understanding of a wide range of subjects, and her
1314 attainment of this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement
1415 of a notable high school career; and
1516 WHEREAS, The daughter of Jason and Hillary Wilson, Ms. Wilson
1617 gained the opportunity to address her fellow seniors at
1718 commencement and to reflect on their shared history as well as their
1819 hopes and ambitions; and
1920 WHEREAS, During her years at Tascosa High, Megan Wilson
2021 earned the respect and admiration of both her teachers and
2122 classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability and commitment
2223 to excellence have opened the way to a bright and promising future
2324 for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore, be it
2425 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
2526 Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Megan Wilson,
2627 valedictorian of the Class of 2017 at Tascosa High School, and
2728 extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she
2829 begins the next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further
2930 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3031 prepared for Ms. Wilson as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3132 House of Representatives.
