| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital has earned a 2017 |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since 1993, the Quality Texas Foundation has |

| 9 | 10 | | presented the Texas Award for Performance Excellence to businesses, |

| 10 | 11 | | health care providers, schools, government agencies, and nonprofit |

| 11 | 12 | | organizations that have proven themselves leaders in their |

| 12 | 13 | | respective fields; winners of the annual award are chosen based on |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | an extensive evaluation process, which includes hundreds of hours |

| 14 | 15 | | of on-site visits; and |

| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital was established in |

| 16 | 17 | | 1981, and today, the hospital offers the only Level IV trauma center |

| 17 | 18 | | in Katy; other specialties include orthopedics, women's and |

| 18 | 19 | | children's health, heart and vascular services, sports medicine and |

| 19 | 20 | | rehabilitation, diabetes self-management, cancer services, |

| 20 | 21 | | advanced diagnostic imaging, and a fully accredited chest pain |

| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, By providing superior and compassionate care, |

| 24 | 25 | | the lives of countless Texans, and its receipt of this prestigious |

| 25 | 26 | | accolade is a testament to the ongoing commitment to excellence of |

| 27 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
