| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Sharon |

| 6 | 7 | | Nellums-Goosby of Houston, who passed away on July 11, 2017, at the |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Born in Houston in 1964, the former Sharon Nellums |

| 9 | 10 | | attended Sam Houston State University, where she earned a |

| 10 | 11 | | bachelor's degree in business administration; she began her |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | professional career in the social services industry, working to |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | provide aid for families in need; and |

| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, This esteemed Texan went on to accept a position as |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | the academic records coordinator with the University of Houston Law |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | Center; during her exemplary 18-year tenure with the school, she |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | performed such vital functions as managing tutoring services, |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | securing accommodations for individuals with disabilities, and |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | assisting with registration and pre-graduation paperwork; |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | respected by her students and colleagues alike, she put in long |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | hours and consistently went above and beyond the call of duty in her |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | efforts to help others; and |

| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, A devoted wife and mother, Ms. Nellums-Goosby |

| 23 | 24 | | shared 16 years of marriage with her husband, Joseph, and she took |

| 24 | 25 | | immense pride in her son, Jarvis; and |

| 25 | 26 | | WHEREAS, Although her journey on this earth ended far too |

| 26 | 27 | | soon, Sharon Nellums-Goosby touched countless lives with her warmth |

| 27 | 28 | | and kindness, and she will forever be remembered with deep |

| 28 | 29 | | admiration and affection by all who had the good fortune to know |
