| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Jamie Sullins is concluding her distinguished |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, First elected in 2010, Ms. Sullins most recently |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | served as president of the board, which was named both the 2014 |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | Outstanding School Board of Texas by the Texas Association of |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | School Administrators and the 2015 Outstanding School Board by the |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards program; the board developed a |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | clear vision for the district in its rigorous strategic planning |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | process, an approach that has enabled strong governance through |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | transformation while fostering a culture of respect and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | transparency; and |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, From 2015 to 2017, Ms. Sullins also served on the |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | board of the Council of the Great City Schools; she is the founder |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | and former president of the North Arlington Education Alliance, |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | which works closely with the district to promote academic |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | excellence; in addition, she has given generously of her time and |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | expertise as a member of the advisory boards of the Salvation Army |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | of Arlington, Junior League of Arlington, and Arlington Chamber of |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | Commerce; and |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Sullins has brought to her role on the school |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | board extensive experience in the realm of finance; she was |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | employed at Interturbine Group of Companies as manager of financial |
|---|
| 28 | 29 | | planning and analysis in its global operations, and she also worked |
|---|
| 29 | 30 | | for Lockheed Martin Missiles and Advanced Programs; a graduate of |
|---|
| 30 | 31 | | Texas Tech University, she holds a bachelor's degree of business |
|---|
| 31 | 32 | | administration in finance; in all her endeavors, she is supported |
|---|
| 32 | 33 | | by the love and encouragement of her husband, Gerald; they are the |
|---|
| 33 | 34 | | proud parents of two AISD graduates, Ryan and Amanda; and |

| 34 | 35 | | WHEREAS, Through her leadership and deep commitment to public |

| 35 | 36 | | education, Jamie Sullins has greatly benefited the community, and |

| 36 | 37 | | she may reflect with pride on her contributions to the local school |
