| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The untimely passing of Misty Lynn Evans of Beaumont |

| 6 | 7 | | on July 16, 2017, at the age of 36, has brought a profound loss to |

| 7 | 8 | | the family and friends of this beloved woman; and |
|---|
| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, A native of Valencia, California, the former Misty |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | Millar was born on May 24, 1981, to Chuck and Deborah Millar; when |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | she was 18 years old, she moved to Florida, where she met her future |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | husband, Joe Evans; beginning her married life with him, Ms. Evans |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | wholeheartedly welcomed his daughter, Alonha, as her own, and their |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | family continued to grow with the birth of two more daughters, |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | Jordynn and Denver; the couple relocated to Valencia for a time but |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | soon decided to make their home in the Lone Star State, moving to |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | Beaumont in the spring of 2006; and |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, This loving wife and mother was also cherished by a |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | wide circle of extended family and friends; possessed of a great |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | wit, she was known to inspire fits of laughter at every gathering |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | with her hilarious stories; her ability to find the humor in all |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | situations helped her cope with a number of hardships, and she |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | inspired those around her by facing every obstacle with strength, |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | courage, and unshakeable faith; and |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Misty Evans lived her life with passion, enthusiasm, |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | and joy; although the loss of this vibrant woman leaves a deep |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | sadness in the hearts of all who knew her, she will forever be |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | remembered with great love and admiration; now, therefore, be it |

| 28 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |

| 29 | 30 | | Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory |
