5	6		WHEREAS, Brennon Freeman of Panhandle High School was
6	7		presented with the Lone Star FFA Degree at the 89th annual Texas FFA
7		-	State Convention held July 10-14, 2017
8		-	, in Corpus Christi; and
	8	+	State Convention held July 10-14, 2016, in Corpus Christi; and
9	9		WHEREAS, The highest degree of membership awarded at the
10	10		state level, the Lone Star FFA Degree recognizes members who have
11	11		distinguished themselves by demonstrating exceptional commitment
12	12		to the organization as well as outstanding leadership skills; in
13	13		addition to completing the agricultural science course
14	14		requirements, recipients must also maintain a supervised
15	15		agricultural experience program, perform community service, and
16	16		participate in a number of events, conventions, meetings, and
17	17		activities above the chapter level; and
18	18		WHEREAS, Brennon Freeman has brought great pride to his
19	19		family, school, and community, and he may indeed look with optimism
20	20		and anticipation toward the myriad opportunities that lie ahead;
21	21		now, therefore, be it
22	22		RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
23	23		Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Brennon
24	24		Freeman on his receipt of the Lone Star FFA Degree and extend to him
25	25		sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
26	26		RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
27	27		prepared for Mr. Freeman as an expression of high regard by the
28	28		Texas House of Representatives.
