H.R. No. 441
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, A 70th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of
mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Bob and Bobbie McGinnis
of Waxahachie celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on
July 13, 2017; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. McGinnis were joined in matrimony in
1947 at San Saba's First Baptist Church; over the years, they became
the parents of three treasured children, Rick, Bill, and Suzanne,
and today their family includes their daughter-in-law, Patty, as
well as seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. and
Mrs. McGinnis lived in four states over the course of his career
with Sears, and Mrs. McGinnis has devoted herself to her home and
family throughout their marriage; and
WHEREAS, This devoted couple have enjoyed seven decades of
abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an
exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting
commitment; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Bob and Bobbie
McGinnis on their 70th wedding anniversary and extend to them
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
