H.R. No. 446
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The family and many friends of Cooper Wayne
Ballinger of China, Texas, have suffered an immeasurable loss with
the passing of this special little boy on August 1, 2017, at the age
of seven; and
WHEREAS, The beloved son of Ashley and James "Jimbo"
Ballinger, Cooper was born on January 13, 2010, in The Woodlands; he
was a student at China Elementary School, where he excelled
academically and endeared himself to peers and teachers alike
through his kind and caring nature; and
WHEREAS, Blessed with a zest for life and a smile that could
light up any room, Cooper undertook every endeavor with great
passion and zeal; he enjoyed coloring, drawing, reading, and
hunting and could often be found dancing and singing at the top of
his lungs; and
WHEREAS, Although the loss of one so full of promise brings
tremendous heartache, Cooper Ballinger brightened the lives of all
around him, and those who held him dear may find comfort in
remembering the joy and enthusiasm with which he lived his life;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory
of Cooper Wayne Ballinger and extend heartfelt sympathy to the
members of his family: to his parents, Ashley and Jimbo Ballinger;
to his brothers, Jackson and Sawyer Ballinger; to his grandparents,
Kim and Paul Goodeaux and Doris Ballinger; to his uncle, Keith
Goodeaux, and his wife, Jill; to his aunts, Robin Williams and her
husband, Jeremy, and Lynett Howe; to his cousins, Bryn Goodeaux,
Shelby Roberts, Jacob and Taylor Bandy, and Gabby and Drew Howe; and
to his other relatives and all those who mourn his passing; and, be
it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Cooper
Ballinger.
