| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Richard Dewey is retiring as grading manager at the |

| 6 | 7 | | JBS beef processing plant in Cactus on August 18, 2017, concluding |

| 7 | 8 | | more than 45 years of dedicated service in the industry; and |
|---|
| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Rick Dewey took his first job at the Dubuque Packing |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | Company in Mankato, Kansas, in 1971; after learning a variety of |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | duties, he was promoted to a supervisory role, where he gained his |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | first experience grading cattle, and he subsequently transferred to |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | the plant's grading department; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Dewey remained with the Dubuque plant until its |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | closure, and through a connection with a USDA grader, he was offered |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | a job at the expanding beef facility in Cactus; beginning as a |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | general foreman in 1987, he has served as grading manager at the |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | plant for the past 12 years, during which time his skill and ability |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | to adapt to changes in the industry have made him an invaluable |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | member of the JBS team; and |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Retirement will afford Mr. Dewey the opportunity to |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | more fully devote himself to his hobbies of travel, riding |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | motorcycles, and fishing; he and his wife, Candy, also plan to spend |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | more time with their family, which includes their children, Craig, |

| 24 | 25 | | Heath, Erik, and Amber, and their grandchildren, Parker, Bryson, |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | Ava, and Emma; and |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | WHEREAS, Over the years, Rick Dewey has earned the respect |

| 27 | 28 | | and admiration of all those who have had the pleasure of working |

| 28 | 29 | | with him, and he may reflect with pride on his outstanding career as |

| 29 | 30 | | he embarks on the next exciting chapter of his life; now, therefore, |
