| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, A 70th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of |

| 8 | 9 | | marriage on July 24, 2017; and |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, Buck Griffin met |

| 10 | 11 | | the former Melba Archer at a dance in New Mexico, and they exchanged |

| 11 | 12 | | wedding vows in Fort Worth in 1947; over the years, the couple have |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | been blessed with a treasured family that includes their three |

| 13 | 14 | | children, Candyce, Mark, and Brad, as well as their nine |

| 14 | 15 | | grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. and |

| 16 | 17 | | Mrs. Griffin both work in real estate, and they have a number of |

| 17 | 18 | | developments in Wise County; and |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Buck and Melba Griffin have enjoyed seven decades of |

| 19 | 20 | | abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an |

| 20 | 21 | | exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting |
